Trees , debris , and buildings in the vicinity of Fifteenth Street and Chestnut Street that were damaged by the tornado which hit Louisville , Kentucky , on March 27 , 1890 . Two women are in the street in the foreground . The tornado killed an estimated 100 people and many more were injured .
