Description
The John A. Roebling Suspension Bridge . Four men stand on the Ohio River bank below the bridge . This bridge spans the Ohio River between Cincinnati , Ohio and Covington , Kentucky . It opened for use in 1866 and, at the time , was the longest suspension bridge in the world at 1057 feet . Today it is used for light automobile traffic and as a pedestrian bridge .
