Title	Approach to Bay Bridge, Mobile, Ala.
Description	Cars crossing a bridge. The cars are coming toward the viewer. Text printed on verso reads, "This view shows the Mobile River span of the Chocrane Bridge across the headwaters of Mobile Bay. The total length of this bridge is 10.7 miles and it is an important link in the Old Spanish Trail between Mobile, Alabama and Pensacola, Florida. The center span of this bridge, which is one block long, lifts up vertically like an elevator 135 feet above the water, which will allow passage of the largest steamships. The bridge was constructed at a cost of $2,500,000 by the people of Mobile. It is said to be one of the longest bridges of its kind in existence." Postmarked 1929 on verso. Printed by E.C. Kropp Co., number 14699N. Number 80 in a series.
