Description |
Tampa Bay Hotel, a large red building with several turrets. The turrets are rounded with Middle Eastern influenced styling. There are gardens on "islands" in front of the hotel. Text printed on verso reads, "Tamp Bay Hotel. Florida. Tampa Bay is the largest islet on the western coast of Florida. The Tampa Bay Hotel is 1100 feet long and the main hall is more than 700 feet long. There are about 500 rooms with accommodations for nearly 1,000 guests. Broad galleries extend on the south and north fronts from 16 to 26 feet in width, all under cover of roofs, supported by ornamental columns, making a grand promenade." Number 62 in a series. Postage requirements date this card to before 1952. |
