Union railroad station in Chicago . The Chicago River is visible in the foreground , and cars and a bus can be seen in the street near the station . Text printed on verso reads , "This majestic new railroad terminal occupies the entire block bounded by Jackson Boulevard , Adams Street , Canal and Clinton Streets . It furnishes accommodations to four railroads : the Pennsylvania ; Chicago , Burlington and Quincy ; Chicago , Milwaukee & St . Paul and the Chicago and Alton Companies . The passenger station in itself is a massive rectangular edifice of white marble and with all improvements the total cost is about $65,000,000. " Published by Max Rigot Selling Co. , number 371 .
