It
furnishes
accommodations
to
four
railroads
: the
Pennsylvania

and
Quincy

Chicago

&
St

Paul
and the
Chicago
and
Alton
Companies
. The
passenger
station
in
itself
is
a
massive
rectangular
edifice
of
white
marble
and with
all
improvements
the
total
cost
is
about
$65,000,000.
