Description
"With her
hair
separated
in
two
sections
of
coiled
locks
, this
figure
is
dressed
in a
long
tunic
, its
folds
slipping
off
to
expose
the
right
shoulder
. A
heavy
fringed
cloak
hangs
from the
left
shoulder
and
is
wrapped
around
the
body
,
under
the
right
arm
, and
gathered
in a
knot
at her
chest
. The
fringed
edge
of the
fabric
drops
in "
napkin
"
folds
from the
center
. The
left
arm
emerges
obliquely
from this
drapery
just
enough
to
expose
the
hand
.
[…]
With
fabric
slung
from
one
shoulder
,
like
the
vertical
motif
that
echoes
the
front
panel
of
Egyptian
dress
in
antiquity
, this
style
of
dress
is
indicative
of the
cult
of
Isis.
