Description	"Soon after the creation of Composition VII, in late November, Kandinsky painted Dreamy Improvisation [Träumerische Improvisation] on 3 December 1913 followed by Light Picture [Helles Bild] and Black Lines [Schwarze Striche] in mid-December. In these pictures, black lines and amorphous patches of color seem to float on the surface within an indeterminate space. Although landscape associations can sometimes be perceived, these works have moved so far away from their origins in observable nature that they have become totally abstract." (Excerpt, p. 473).
