| Description | H.ST.L. COPPEE, a stern-wheel towboat with steel hull (140 ft. x 30 ft. x 6 ft.), was built at Howard in 1904. Owned by U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in the Vicksburg District, H.ST.L. COPPEE operated on the lower Mississippi River. H.ST.L. COPPEE was sold and renamed TARIC (Way T2391) in 1935, towed coal from the Kanawha River to Louisville, and was eventually dismantled in 1947. |
