Description
Written on border of negative "Berea College Boone Tavern owned and operated by school. " Four horses and several men and women stand in front of Boone Tavern . To the left of the building stands a group of men next to a car . The words "Boone Tavern " are written across the front of the building , atop four large columns . Built in 1909 as a guest house , Boone Tavern was named after Appalachian hero Daniel Boone . As of 2017 , the building continues to serve as the college's hotel and restaurant .
