Description
Formerly the home of Bishop T.U . Dudley , the three story building located at 620 3rd St . between Chestnut St . and Broadway , served as the meeting place for the Tavern Club . The social club formed in 1901 and met at the Galt House before moving to rooms at the Weissinger-Gilbert building . In 1905 it purchased the home and added an addition to the back . The house has a portico supported by columns with ornate carved cornices . Above the windows is decorative molding . Chairs are on the porch leaning against the wall . Cars are parked on the right side of the building .
