Description
Two women in dark skirts and dark blouses , as well as three small dogs , stand in front of a two-story brick house with shutters and a porch . The porch has white wood pillars curving up to notched arches under the porch roof . All of the porch furniture is tipped over , slanting against the house's wall . Two large bare trees in front of the house have been severely pruned yet seem to be regrowing . The Shaker religious community of Pleasant Hill , Kentucky (also known as Shakertown) existed from 1805 to 1923 .
