Description
A large , light colored estate home with Italianate style details , including tall , narrow windows and a projected eave supported by corbels . The front of the house has a portico with decorative baluster railings on the roof of the portico . It covers a central entrance that is flanked by a window with dark shutters . The front of the second story has an additional three windows with dark shutters . Mature bare trees partially obscure the house . The back of the house appears to have a single story screened in room or porch . According to the journals of Warren Kellar Frederick , this home was known as Idle Brook Farm and was built about 1820 by Marcus O'Bannon . It was at one time owned by John Middleton , Zachary McKay , and William C . McGibson . The exact location is unknown , but likely in Jefferson County , Kentucky .
