Description
George Gilpin Perkins was born in Burlington , Kentucky , in 1839 . His family moved to Covington , and he was educated in the city schools , at Shelby College , and at Belmont , Ohio . He studied law and was admitted to practice in 1863 . In 1867 , he served in the Kentucky legislature . In 1869 , he was elected judge of the Kenton County Court , serving until 1874 . In that same year , he was appointed judge of the Criminal Court of Covington . He died in 1933 .
