Character portrait of actor Eugene O'Rourke in costume for the role of Teddy in "My Geraldine. " He wears a sideways cap , corduroy suit jacket and vest , and striped bow tie . His inscription indicates a jolly camaraderie with "Col. " John Macauley and his friend Henry Watterson . O'Rourke appeared at Macauley's Theatre in "New Fantasma " with the William Hanlon and Rose Forte , in February 1890 . Inscription on mount verso : Compliments of Eugene O'Rourke to his friend John McCauley , Mgr . of the Old Log Cabin . Regards to all my friends , Mr . Waterson , the Colonel and all the boys . Location of photo studio : Columbus (Ohio)
