Full-length character portrait of performer and producer Lotta Crabtree sitting on a tree stump , wearing a bonnet and dress with gingham top . Charlotte "Lotta " Crabtree , also known as Little Lotta , was born November 7 , 1847 in New York City , and died September 25 , 1924 in Boston , Massachusetts . She made seventeen appearances at Macauley's Theatre beginning in 1874 . Location of photo studio : New York (N.Y.)
