Description
Two men and four boys stand in the street in front of the entrance gate at Baxter Square Park . Iron bars are bent over from the tornado which hit Louisville , Kentucky , on March 27 , 1890 . Damaged homes sit across the street . Purchased in 1880 , Baxter Park was the first park in Louisville , Kentucky . The tornado killed an estimated 100 people and many more were injured .
