Description
Front entrance , including columns , of Leopold Hall . The building is partially obscured by leafy trees . The end of another barracks building is visible on side of the image . Leopold Hall was one of the Naval Barracks and was moved to accommodate construction of Schneider Hall in 1955 . It was relocated to site of present-day Chemistry Building . Named in honor of Robert Leopold , UofL BA 1938 and LLB 1940 , who was killed in action aboard the USS Arizona , Pearl Harbor , December 7 , 1941 . Location : Belknap Campus : Originally located between the Administration Building and Gardiner Hall at current site of Schneider Hall ; moved to site of current Chemistry Building , 1955 . Former names : Women's Dormitory . Former uses : Testing Service Bureau ; Navy dormitory , women's dormitory .
